What is a shower stool?

A shower stool is a small, waterproof, stable stool that you can use in the shower to sit down while you wash.

There are lots of choices on the market with wall mounted versions that flip down, stools with a backrest for extra support, or smaller models with swivel seats if your shower space is limited.

A shower stool is great if you suffer dizziness, find it difficult to balance, are one-handed, recovering from surgery, lack flexibility to reach your lower limbs, or suffer pain, or fatigue.

It is recommended that you seek advice from an Occupational Therapist if you think you need one of these to make showering easier for you.
