iLA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands, skies, and waters throughout Australia and the Torres Strait where we live and work. We specifically acknowledge the Whadjuk Noongar people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which our head office sits, in Boorloo (Perth), Noongar Boodja (Western Australia).

We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities across Australia, and their Elders past and present.

We are committed to walking together to develop culturally safe information and initiatives that enable people to make informed choices and connections, and support strong, self-determining communities.

LiveUp Italian language resources

This page has resources to help older Italian people and their families learn about low-risk assistive products (or everyday tools) to help them stay independent for longer.

All the resources are in Italian and English.

Everyday tools to help you stay independent

An Italian family at the table preparing food.

Whether you live by yourself or with others, there are tools that can help you stay independent by making tasks easier, safer, and more comfortable.

They can give you more energy for things you love the most, like:

  • Being involved in community life
  • Cooking and sharing meals with loved ones
  • Personal hobbies, like gardening and crafts

Know your options for independence

When you know the options available, you can stay independent and connected to what you love doing for as long as possible.

The Everyday Tools to Help You Stay Independent ('Everyday Tools') resources were made by LiveUp in partnership with Little Rocket agency and a working group of Italian Australian community members.

With special thanks to:

Everyday Tools resources for Italian communities

You can save and print these resources to share with your community. All the materials are in both Italian and English.
