Active Ku-ring-gai

Active Ku-ring-gai
Active Ku-ring-gai is a welcoming fitness program run by Ku-ring-gai Council for people of all ages and fitness levels. It offers a wide range of gentle and enjoyable activities such as walking groups, yoga, tai chi, mat Pilates, social tennis, pickleball and golf clinics. Activities are held in local parks and community spaces across the Ku-ring-gai area and run during school terms.
This program is a great way to support healthy ageing. Regular movement helps improve strength, balance and flexibility, which can make everyday tasks easier and reduce the risk of falls. Activities like tai chi and yoga also support relaxation, breathing and mental wellbeing.
Active Ku-ring-gai is also very social. Exercising with others helps you stay motivated, build friendships and feel connected to your community. Many activities are low impact and can be adapted to suit your ability, making it easier to stay active at your own pace. Whether you are returning to exercise or want to keep moving, Active Ku-ring-gai offers a safe, friendly and enjoyable way to look after your body and mind as you age.
