If you love live theatre and have some time to spare, try volunteering at the Alex Theatre. You can work in a wide range of interesting roles and give back to the arts community. You may help to greet guests, scan tickets, and direct guests through the auditorium. You’ll distribute programs, answer questions, and respond to queries and comments. You could work backstage in lighting, sound, set design, tech, and as support crew. Or you can work behind the scenes in promotion, design, technology, marketing, event planning, and much more. Volunteering is a wonderful way to meet new people, stay active, and be part of a team in a highly regarded local organisation. Plus, you can attend the shows when available at the Alex Theatre.
