If you love animals, volunteer to work at your local AWL shelter. You’ll make a positive impact and improve the lives of shelter animals. You could be a Cat Whisperer where you’ll pat them, play with them, and show them how to trust again. You can volunteer as a Pawfessional Pooch Playmate to distribute treats, play with toys, and ensure the dogs get their daily exercise and enrichment. You could work in reception, greeting customers, helping with their enquiries, assisting with adoptions, and more. You could keep the gardens tidy or work in the laundry. You’ll be collecting and washing food dishes, litter trays, toys, and bedding, maintaining and cleaning enrichment tools and food preparation areas. It’s a wonderful way to give back to the community and help animals in need. You’ll stay busy and active, and you’ll meet lots of people who care, just like you.
