Volunteer support

Arcare Aged Care QLD Parkinson

Volunteering is a great opportunity to create positive change in an older person’s life. If you like the company of older people and would like to give some time back to your community, join the Volunteer Visitors Scheme. You’ll improve the quality of life for older people in your area and brighten someone’s day. As a volunteer visitor, you’ll regularly visit someone at home or in aged care who may be lonely or feeling isolated. You'll enjoy a cuppa, a chat, a game, or a gentle walk together. In most aged care facilities, you could work in the garden or maintenance, or help in admin. Or you may be able to help residents attend and take part in leisure and lifestyle activities or get involved with concerts by visiting performers. Arcare welcomes a diversity of backgrounds, skills, and ages to join its volunteer team. It’s a wonderful way to keep active and connected and you’ll make new friends while you volunteer.
