Arts Project Australia supports artists with intellectual disabilities through their studio and gallery. If you’re interested in art and the disability sector, try volunteering at the gallery space. You can keep connected to art and like-minded creative people, and work in a range of interesting roles. You can lend a hand in the day-to-day running of the studio. Or you can help with one of the exhibition openings and events. It’s a wonderful way to stay active and busy, and you can make good friends along the way.
