If you love animals and have some spare time, volunteer to help at an animal shelter. It’s a wonderful way to help homeless animals and work with a team of passionate people. There is always so much to do so you will keep busy, and you’ll stay active. You’ll help staff to keep the animal enclosures clean, the animals fed and watered and, most importantly, provide the animals with enrichment and socialisation. You can help with the laundry, washing, drying, and folding clean towels and blankets. Or if you prefer, you can work at one of the op shops at the shelter, Moorabbin, or Cheltenham. You’ll be sorting donations, stocking shelves, and dealing with lots of people each day. It's a wonderful way to give back to your community and meet like-minded people.
