Australian Red Cross Telecross and TeleCHAT

Australian Red Cross Telecross and TeleCHAT
Telecross provides a daily morning telephone call to check on your wellbeing if you feel lonely. It’s a service for people who are at risk of an accident or illness that may go unnoticed, such as falling and being unable to call for help. Or there’s TeleCHAT, a regular telephone call to people who might not have someone to talk to who would enjoy a social chat once a week. The social chat calls are made by trained staff and volunteers, 365 days per year. It’s a wonderful connection to the community and provides reassurance and help to maintain your independence. You can register for the service or if you are able, you can offer to volunteer for the chat line. Find out more via the website and contact details provided.
