If you have some spare time and are interested in our history, try volunteering at the Australiana Pioneer Village. You will have a great impact on visitors who come to see all about life around 1810. You could help in a wide range of roles such as Gate Staff, Shop Assistants, Ticket Sellers, and Train and Tractor Drivers. You could just volunteer as someone who likes to chat with the public, join the street show, or work in the Maintenance Team. You’ll be helping out a great organisation and you’ll have just as good a time as the visitors. You can join their regular Volunteer Events for you to enjoy the company of other ‘Vollies’ - you can become one of The Village People! It’s a wonderful way to keep active and involved and give back to the community.
