If you like meeting people, making them happy, working in a team, and making a true difference, try volunteering at Baptcare. As a volunteer, you might find yourself playing board games with residential care clients. You could visit an older person or someone who may be lonely once a week for an hour to provide some company and friendship. You could volunteer to help take clients on a bus tour, help asylum seekers with their English, or cook a meal with them. Or you can assist with distributing food from food bank, giving foot and hand massages, or teaching art and jewellery making. It’s a wonderful way to stay active and involved, and you’ll make plenty of friends along the way.
