Go along to your local library to get to know your community better and get involved in a range of activities. There is often so much more than thousands of books and magazines on offer at most libraries. Many libraries host community groups and offer social and learning activities for older people. If you love reading and sharing ideas about literature, join your local library book club. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and enjoy interesting book suggestions and discussions. There are sometimes craft groups such as Knit and Natter, sewing, or craft. You can bring along a project to work on together and share tips and skills.
