If you’re interested in the rich history of the area and want to contribute, join your local historical society. You can help to record, collate, and maintain historical records, stories, and artifacts from the area. You can also get involved in helping people to learn about the history of far north Queensland and with their family history research. Historical societies are always looking for volunteers and would welcome your skills and time. It’s a great way to stay active in the community and meet people.
