Catholic Healthcare

If you have an hour to spare, try volunteering for Catholic Healthcare, even if it's just for an hour a fortnight.

You can join the community visitors scheme and spend time with an older person. It will be a priceless contribution to someone else's life. There are volunteering opportunities across NSW where you can visit people at an aged care centre or in their own homes.

Spending time with an older person, sharing stories, chatting about family and hobbies, discussing news and sport, and laughing together can all be very rewarding. You could even help by phoning someone for a friendly chat if it’s not so easy for you to get out and about.

You may only want to help with driving or with admin duties. You will make a positive difference in someone’s life and reap the rewards of knowing you are helping the community.
