Volunteering at your local community centre is a great way for you to make a meaningful difference in the community.

The centres often offer a wide range of courses, workshops, or programs. Many centres offer family support, childcare, and children’s reading or art programs. Some centres have a community garden, a friendship group, a book club, and so much more, where you can lend a hand.

They are always looking for volunteers so if you have a skill, get in touch if you have some free time to give. You can often volunteer for a range of roles from preparing food, tutoring, running courses, supporting program admin, or event fundraising.

It’s a wonderful way to give back, keep active and involved, and make new friends in your area. Apply to volunteer online via the website provided or contact the centre for more information.
