If you are compassionate and want to help people in your community, volunteer for Comlink. Comlink's social support programs combat isolation in older clients.

The programs boost their mental health and foster friendships. As a volunteer, you could work in the volunteer drivers' team to help transport Noosa Shire residents who are unable to drive. You'll take them to various health and hospital services, shopping, or social outings.

You could work as an aged care volunteer visitor where you will regularly visit an older or isolated person at home or in residential aged care. You’ll provide companionship, enjoy a chat and a cuppa, play a game, or go for a gentle walk together.

Or you may want to help to organise and run the social support programs, events, and outings.

It’s a great way to keep socially connected and make friends. You’ll be giving back to your community, staying active and busy, and making a positive difference in people’s lives.
