Condobolin Library

Condobolin Library
Go along to your local library to get to know your community better and get involved in a range of activities. There is often so much more than thousands of books and magazines on offer at most libraries. Many libraries host community groups and offer social and learning activities for older people.
If you love reading and sharing ideas about literature, join your local library book club. It’s a great way to meet like-minded people and enjoy interesting book suggestions and discussions. There are sometimes craft groups such as Knit and Natter, sewing, or craft. You can bring along a project to work on together and share tips and skills.
You could join a puzzle, chess, or games group to keep your mind alert and have some fun. Some libraries offer technology help for your iPhone, computer, and tablet questions. Or there are social coffee clubs where you can meet local people for a cuppa and a chat.
You may be able to join local history groups, ancestry interest groups, or writing and poetry groups and author talks. There are also multicultural collections and services if you're from different cultures and language groups.
Try some of these programs at your library to stay active and healthy, learn new skills, and meet new people. Visit the website provided or speak to a Librarian to find out what’s on offer.
