Department of Natural Resources

If you have some spare time, volunteer for the Department of Natural Resources and the Environment Tasmania. It's a wonderful way to give back to your community and meet like-minded people. You will be helping conservation and the environment in the national parks. You can get involved in a wide range of volunteer roles and projects. You could be a Citizen Scientist working in the field. You can work with people in visitor information or education, or help in fisheries, horticulture, or in parks. Or you could work conserving threatened species of plants or animals. You'll learn new things, stay active, and contribute in so many ways. Contact your nearest office to find out more and apply.
