Join in a range of exercise classes designed for older people. Try something new like qi-gong. This is a gentle exercise that improves your flexibility, strength and balance.
You can try chair yoga dance for simple, easy and fun movements done sitting on a chair or using the chair for support. There's also regular yoga, Pilates, and a walking group for a great way to stay social whilst exercising in the outdoors.
You can play a game of indoor bowls or table tennis to keep your mind and body sharp. For some social fun, you can join in the line dancing, tap, or jazz dancing.
You can join the quilters, handicrafts, leatherwork, wood carving, or painting group to work on a project or learn new skills.
Or there's card games to play such as bridge, canasta, and 500. There's even a musical theatre group and a writers' group.
