Family Drug Support Volunteers (FDS)

Family Drug Support Volunteers (FDS)
If you have some spare time, volunteer with FDS. You can support families and friends of people who use drugs and alcohol in Australia.
FDS operates a free national telephone support line 24/7 anywhere in Australia. FDS also provides support groups, education programs, counselling, and bereavement services for families.
They are looking for mature people who are non-judgmental. You need to be empathetic and be a good listener. You don’t need to know about alcohol and drug issues or be a counsellor to help. You just need to commit to volunteering for a shift every two or three weeks for at least twelve months.
It’s a wonderful way to learn skills, grow, and give back to your community. Complete the online form on the website provided to find out more.
