Fitness Training for Seniors: Term 2 2026

Fitness Training for Seniors: Term 2 2026
This friendly fitness program is designed especially for older adults who want to stay strong, active and confident. Held once a week, these beginner‑level strength training classes focus on improving muscle strength, balance and movement to help with everyday tasks like walking, lifting and getting up from a chair.
The sessions are run in a safe, welcoming space at the Fraser Rise Children’s & Community Centre and are led by an experienced trainer who guides you through each exercise step by step. Exercises are done at your own pace, so you can join in whether you are new to exercise or returning after a break.
Regular strength training can help reduce the risk of falls, support joint health, and improve overall energy and wellbeing. Just as important, this program gives you the chance to meet others, enjoy a chat, and feel part of your local community, supporting both physical and social healthy ageing.
This is a 10‑week program with flexible payment options available.
