Friends of Garden Island Creek is a Landcare group of locals who want to protect and improve Garden Island Creek. Climate change, erosion, and invasive species threaten the beautiful local habitats. Help meet these challenges by joining a strong community of volunteers. The group invites all locals to bring energy and ideas to the group. You can help with working bees to remove weeds or plant trees. You could monitor water quality or beach erosion or share your knowledge of local plants and wildlife. Volunteering is a wonderful way to get involved in activities that benefit the community. You'll learn new things, make friends and stay active in retirement.
