iLA acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands, skies, and waters throughout Australia and the Torres Strait where we live and work. We specifically acknowledge the Whadjuk Noongar people as the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which our head office sits, in Boorloo (Perth), Noongar Boodja (Western Australia).

We pay our respects to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities across Australia, and their Elders past and present.

We are committed to walking together to develop culturally safe information and initiatives that enable people to make informed choices and connections, and support strong, self-determining communities.

Friends of Liverpool Regional Museum & Collingwood House

Friends of Liverpool Regional Museum & Collingwood House

Join a welcoming group of locals who enjoy history, culture, and community at the Liverpool Regional Museum and historic Collingwood House. This activity gives older adults a chance to explore one of Australia’s oldest surviving farmhouses, built in 1810, and learn about the stories that shaped the area. Guided tours and museum activities help you stay mentally active as you discover new facts and reflect on the past.

Being part of the Friends group also offers plenty of social connection. You can meet others with similar interests, enjoy friendly conversations, and share experiences in a relaxed, supportive setting. Spending time in these beautifully preserved spaces can lift your mood, spark curiosity, and keep your mind engaged. Whether you enjoy history, learning, or simply being part of a community, this activity supports healthy ageing by boosting social, emotional, and cognitive wellbeing.
