Friends of Mosquito Point

If you have some spare time, consider volunteering with your local Landcare group. You'll get involved with caring for your local environment and make a positive impact. The Friends of Mosquito Point group meets on the Huon River at the end of Helen Street in Ranelagh at 10am on the third Sunday of each month. Help the group protect and improve riparian habitat. You'll also improve river access for the local community and encourage low-impact recreational use. You can help with brush cutting, hand weeding, rubbish collection, and planting. Volunteering is a social activity so there is plenty of time for chatting and morning tea.
