Go along to your local community centre to join some of the regular friendly activity groups. Everyone is welcome regardless of your background and culture.

Join a regular patchwork or craft group to work on a creative project in a group. It’s a good way to meet new friends and socialise. There is a weekly yoga class to get active, flexible, and strong.

There’s ukulele on Mondays plus there’s an art group each Saturday morning.

The centre often holds community morning teas or lunches with guest speakers. There are seniors’ information sessions and workshops for people from different cultures and backgrounds.

You can also join in annual celebrations and events such as Harmony Day.
