Your local multicultural centres cater for Greek, Polish, Italian, Macedonian, and Ukrainian.
You can join the Multicultural Friendship Groups that meet during the week. They meet at various venues through Newcastle and the Hunter Region. These include Maitland, Greta, Cessnock/Kurri Kurri, Salamander Bay, and Raymond Terrace.
Activities at the group include special day celebration, picnics, bus trips, and crafts. You can enjoy a healthy meal, have fun, and make new friends. To keep fit and active, join one of the exercise sessions on offer.
There is a range of events throughout the year including international expos and seniors' information forums.
You can also join the community garden to learn and share gardening tips and grow food.
