Join the Ipswich Thriving Seniors program to help you feel connected and stay active in the community. You can enjoy a monthly calendar of social groups, fitness programs, as well as guest speakers and information sessions. Some of the types of social activities you can try are crafts, playing mah-jong or bingo, movies, a book club, and a garden club. To keep fit and mobile you can join the gentle exercise or Pilates classes. Both classes offer low-impact exercises to help keep you flexible and strong. There's a community kitchen for you to cook up a storm or organise morning tea together. The program is a wonderful way for you to meet other older people in the area. It's a great way to get out of the house, try new things, and enjoy a chat.
