If you want to help people at a challenging time of their lives, consider volunteering at the local cottage hospice. If you like gardening, volunteers are welcome to assist the hospice gardening team. You'll help with planting, preparing potting mix etc, under the supervision and guidance of the greenhouse manager. You can also work in housekeeping, maintenance, and as a personal care volunteer. Or if you prefer, you can work in fundraising or at one of the opportunity shops in Tewantin, Cooroy, and Maroochydore. You’ll sort and sell donations from the community with a hard-working and dedicated team of volunteers. Volunteering is a great way for you to stay active and involved. You’ll keep busy, feel a sense of reward, and make new friends.
