Koorda Historical Society

Join the local Historical Society if you’re interested in the rich history of the area or are researching your family history. The Society is always looking for people who are willing to help out for at least a half day per week. No previous experience is needed. You just need to be willing to do some in-house training and have lots of interest and commitment. Volunteers contribute in various ways. You can help at the library, museum, bookshop sales, reception, and administration. You can also help with tours and events, promotions, and marketing or fundraising. If you are handy, you can help with the building and equipment maintenance. It’s a great way to get involved and meet people in the community.
