Australia’s tropical Savannahs are home to 55 of Australia’s 90 seed eating birds. It is perfect for bird watchers. It's the home of parrots, quails, pigeons, and finches. Bird sightings are available all through the year. All wildlife gathers around waterholes in the later months of the year (October to December). From September to April, Burketown is a great place to see hundreds of thousands of migratory birds. The Lawn Hill Gorge is an oasis of lush vegetation and it is Purple Crowned Fairy Wren country.
