Lifeline SA

If you have spare time and want to do something useful that makes a difference in your community, volunteer for Lifeline. You can work in Crisis Support volunteering your time and skills to help people in crisis and save lives. You could do this by being a friendly voice on the phone, or by chat or text. You can work at a local Lifeline shop or at an event. Or if you prefer, in some regions, you could help with the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme. Volunteer once a week or fortnightly to spend time with someone to chat, play a game, share a cup of tea, or walk together. You'll be bringing companionship to people who have little or no contact with family or friends, enhancing their health and happiness. It’s a wonderful way to give back to your local community and make lifelong friends. Lifeline has 41 centers around Australia in regional, remote, and metropolitan areas. Contact your local branch to find out more about volunteering in your area.
