If you love animals and have some spare time, volunteer to help at the Lost Dogs Home. It’s a wonderful way to help animals and work with a team of passionate people. As an Animal Attendant Assistant volunteer, you will clean pens and enclosures and feed the shelter animals. You'll also be providing essential enrichment activities such as walking and play. It can be emotional work, but it’s incredibly rewarding as you will have a direct positive impact on the animals in care. You could work with customers, answering phone calls, booking appointments, and data entry. You'll spend time in cat and dog adoption areas helping people choose their new family member. You can also work in animal behaviour, admin, the vet clinic, and shelter maintenance. You'll meet many like-minded people and feel a sense of reward from giving back to the community and helping animals.
