If you love animals, have some spare time, and would like to help change the lives of shelter animals, volunteer at Mackay Animal Rescue. You’ll help provide love, care, and hope to the hundreds of cats and dogs that pass through the refuge each year. As a volunteer, you can help to raise vital funds for vet care or offer a particular skill you may have. You could bake some treats, help out at a barbeque, sell tickets, or man stalls. Or you can help at adoption days, transport animals, work in admin, or foster animals. It’s a wonderful way to give back to the community, stay active and busy, and make new friends.
