The Macquarie Branch of National Seniors Australia offers a welcoming place for older adults to connect, learn and stay active. The group meets on the third Monday of each month at the Ryde Eastwood Leagues Club in West Ryde. Meetings include guest speakers who share information and ideas on topics of interest to seniors. Visitors are welcome and there is no need to book.
Beyond the monthly meetings, members can enjoy a range of social activities throughout the year, including day trips, lunches, dinners and an active walking group. These activities provide opportunities to meet new people, build friendships and stay involved in the local community. Regular social connection can support emotional wellbeing, while walking and outings encourage physical activity and an active lifestyle. Taking part in branch activities can help you stay engaged, confident and connected as you age.
