Keep active with one of the exercise sessions at your local centre. You can join an Easy Step fitness class. It involves simple dance steps which are a fun way to get fit. Or try yoga to open your body and mind, including chair yoga if you need a little more support. You can learn the gentle movements of tai chi, which is ideal for older people who want to keep flexible in a safe, slow paced session. You can join a local short walk group or go further afield around the district, on bus, then on foot. All the activities are social, fun, and good for you, and no experience is necessary.
