If you have some spare time and like meeting and talking to people, try volunteering. The Multicultural Communities Council offers a range of interesting volunteering roles. You will make a wonderful contribution to supporting people in need. You could be a meal delivery driver. You’ll bring a touch of warmth and a delicious multicultural meal to seniors in the area. Or you could be a Driver Mentor to pass on your driver knowledge to help learner drivers from refugee backgrounds. You can be a bus driver or an assistant to give seniors a helping hand to get on and off the bus. Or you could work in social support running various activities and serving lunch or cooking delicious multicultural meals as a kitchen hand. It’s a wonderful way to give back to your community, keep active, and make friends.
