Melton Library Walkers

Melton Library Walkers
Join the Melton Library Walkers for a friendly, relaxed group walk that supports your health and wellbeing. This Heart Foundation walking group meets weekly and welcomes people of all fitness levels. Walks are led by trained volunteer organisers and take place in a safe, supportive group setting near the Melton Library and Learning Hub.
Walking is a gentle way to stay active as you age. It helps keep your heart strong, improves balance, and supports joint movement. Walking outdoors can also lift your mood, reduce stress, and help you feel more energised. Being part of a group adds important social benefits, giving you a chance to chat, make new friends, and feel connected to your local community.
The walk pace is medium and usually lasts 30–45 minutes. Walking regularly can help you build confidence, improve memory and concentration, and maintain independence. Come along for the exercise, stay for the conversation, and enjoy moving together at your own pace.
