Lapidary clubs teach the ancient arts of cutting gemstones that many of you may have found on field trips run by the club. The club holds several sessions a week. The sessions teach cutting, silver jewellery, carving, and opal cutting. The classes are held in a very well equipped workroom. You can use faceting machines, diamond saws, silver jewellery making tools, and facilities. There is a panel of patient expert teachers on hand. The club also has a mineral and fossil collection on display which is added to as specimens become available. You can enjoy social get togethers several times a year so it's a great way to meet like-minded people in your area.
