Multicultural Council of Tasmania represents people from diverse cultural backgrounds in Tasmania. You can enjoy dance and music carnivals and festivals from around the world such as Diwali and Chinese New Year celebrations. You can get involved in the Moonah Sounds of World at Moonah Arts Centre. There are International Migrants Day barbeques and free relaxation programs. There are many information sessions and arts and crafts workshops to enjoy. You can join in annual events such as multicultural Christmas carols, and Community Garden days. There is so much on offer throughout the year, so keep an eye on the Facebook page to find out more. It’s a great way to get involved and meet people to socialise. You could even volunteer to help with events if you have a little spare time.
