If you're interested in the rich history of the region, you can visit or volunteer your time to help at the local museum. The Murchison Museum collects, preserves, and maintains displays of items relevant to the history of the district. The museum also features a herbarium of rangeland plant species. There is a small entry fee to assist in the upkeep of the museum. Brochures about the local Botanical Walk and birds of the district as well as some local history books are available to buy. It’s an interesting way to spend your time and a way to meet people in the area.
