If you have some free time and a keen interest in history, try volunteering at the museum. It’s a wonderful way to stay active, learn things, and keep busy. You’ll enjoy giving back to the community, meeting like-minded people, and making friends. You can work on text corrections, digital transcriptions of written documents, or transcribing oral history recordings. You may want to help with general research or family history research or help to curate the next exhibition. You can work in fundraising or communications with graphic design, press releases or writing newsletters. Or you could volunteer for a few hours a week to help run the London Court Bookshop.
