Naval Historical Society of Australia

If you have some spare time and want to do something interesting, contact the Naval Historical Society about volunteering. You can assist with all aspects of its role in preserving and promoting the history of the Royal Australian Navy and Garden Island. The Society relies on the work of volunteers, men, and women, for all its day-to-day operations. You can volunteer at the National office, the interstate Chapters, regionally, or work remotely online. You can get involved in research, publishing, promotion, and IT. Or help in sales, marketing, tour guiding, and general admin, to name a few of the roles. You don’t need to have a service background. Volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and some are retired. It’s a wonderful way to learn new things, share your life skills, and meet people.
