Nordic Walking – City of Melton Ageing Well Program

Nordic Walking – City of Melton Ageing Well Program
Nordic Walking is a friendly group activity for people aged 50 and over who enjoy being active outdoors. Around 30 walkers join each week, exploring different scenic routes around Melton and nearby areas. After the walk, the group often enjoys a cuppa and a chat together, making it a great way to meet new people and stay socially connected.
Using special walking poles, Nordic Walking helps improve your balance, posture, and muscle strength. It also puts less pressure on your knees, making it easier on your joints than regular walking.
This activity supports healthy ageing by keeping your body moving, lifting your mood, and helping you feel part of a welcoming community. It’s suitable for all fitness levels, and you can walk at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
If you’re looking for a gentle, enjoyable way to stay active and connected, Nordic Walking is a great choice. Meet at Public Carpark, Melton Botanic Garden, Lakewood Boulevard, Melton!
