North Townsville Community Hub

If you have some spare time and would like to get more involved in your local community, volunteer at your nearest Community Hub. You’ll enjoy giving back to your community and helping people to learn and grow. You can work in the community kitchen, preparing and serving meals to people in the area. You may volunteer in the playgroup, as homework tutors, bus drivers, maintenance staff, or gardeners. Or you may work in the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors scheme, as administration and reception workers, teaching a class or skill, and more. It’s a wonderful way to keep active and busy, learn and share skills, and meet people in your area. You’ll feel a sense of reward and make a positive impact on people around you. Each centre has different volunteer roles and needs, so get in touch with your local hub.
