NSW Stoma Limited supports people who have had surgery resulting in a Colostomy. Also, those with an Ileostomy, Urostomy/Ileal Conduit, or other external pouch procedure. Volunteer with Stoma to meet new people, stay active, and learn new skills. Most volunteers either have a stoma themselves or have a close family member who is living with a stoma, but anyone can help. Volunteer roles may include assisting with medical equipment stock receipt and dispatch. Or you may help in administration and customer service/reception. You will take part in a regular workday which is usually between 8am and 4pm, weekly, fortnightly or monthly. If you prefer, you could help by joining the board or executive committee. It’s a wonderful way to support a good cause, stay active, and give back to the community.
