If you're interested in the rich history of the area, join the Historical Society. You can help to maintain the museum and the visitors' centre. Most societies need help with maintaining buildings or collections of objects. You can often help with queries from the public, cataloguing, displays of artefacts, or records. It's a great way to stay active and busy and meet people. Join the meetings on the first Monday of once a month (except December and January) at 2pm at the library.
