Volunteer at the South Lake Ottey Centre for a great way to make a meaningful difference in the community. The centre offers a wide range of courses, workshops, or programs. It runs a range of social and friendship groups, special interest groups, and so much more, where you can lend a hand. They sometimes look for volunteers so if you have a skill, get in touch if you have some free time to give. You can often volunteer for a range of roles like play group assistant, tutoring, running courses, gardening, admin, on the board, or events and fundraising. Volunteering is a great way to learn new things and keep yourself busy, with purpose. It’s a wonderful way to give back, keep active and involved, and make new friends in your area.
