If you love kids, volunteer to help give foster children a chance to reach their life potential. You will help children in foster care to change the direction of their lives with learning, life skills, and confidence. You will be trained and then matched with a child in care. You'll then spend time with them once a week, focusing on learning-based activities. As a Pyjama Angel, you'll read books aloud, play educational games, and help children with their homework. You just need to have a love of learning and be able to create a fun-filled environment. It's ideal if you're flexible and reliable. You need a basic understanding of the English language and numeracy (e.g. counting, telling time, using money). Volunteering is so rewarding and helps you to connect to your community. You'll be able to share your life skills and meet like-minded people.
