Queensland Maritime Museum

Join this family of volunteers if you want to help collect and preserve Australian maritime heritage. The large collection requires continuous care and maintenance. Volunteer roles range from skilled to unskilled and from intellectual to manual. There are also technical and artistic roles. You can work in reception, guiding, archives, library, maintenance, displays, and the upkeep of vessels. You'll be inducted and offered opportunities to train in your areas of interest. It's a great way to keep connected to like-minded people and make friends. You'll learn and share skills, keep active and busy, and gain a sense of purpose.
