The Ration Shed Museum lets you experience how life was and is in Cherbourg. You can join tours, cultural awareness programs, and educational programs. It's also a keeping place and archive. It conserves and exhibits artefacts, documents, and displays. One display, The Memory, is an interactive archive. It documents family, clan, and community histories. There are also books, artworks, clothing, DVDs, and souvenir items for sale. You can enjoy a community art gallery, an art studio, and a meeting place. There's the old Boy's Dormitory, a Corroboree ring and stage, and landscaped gardens. You can join the creative crafting group called "Many Threads". The group meets every week to do deadly craft projects while enjoying each other's company. Many Threads is a place of support, love, fun, and laughter.
